Bored piles

Bored piles are a widespread intervention for the consolidation of landslide movements, for land maintenance and civil construction. It is a system that allows Dolomiti Rocce to build the foundation of buildings in situations with land characterized by poor mechanical resistance to load.

Bored piles are large diameter piles, usually with a diameter greater than 400mm, suitable for all types of terrain. They are distinguished by their high load-bearing capacities in proportion to the diameters and drilling depths. Different techniques can be used, such as CFA (continuous flight auger, continuous propeller), CCFA (cased continuous flight auger, continuous coated propeller) or the traditional pole covered with casing and tools such as auger, bucket or trolley.

Piles with FDP technique

The FDP (Full Displancement Pile) poles are used by Dolomiti Rocce for medium-sized geofondations. This technology makes it possible to significantly reduce the volume of soil removed thanks to the use of a compacting ogive, that is a tool that compacts the ground on the excavation walls laterally and that prevents its collapse. The removed soil is replaced by pressure injected concrete. This technology ensures an important increase in the lateral capacity of the pile and allows for a 90% reduction in the volume of wastewater and therefore particularly suitable in situations of polluted soils.

CSM Cutter Soil Mix

With the Cutter Soil Mix Dolomiti Rocce produces plastic panels of stabilized soil with a variable thickness ranging from 50 cm to 1 ml, allowing a depth of about twenty meters.

The technology is characterized by a cutter, composed of two wheels rotating in the vertical plane, which breaks up and mixes the soil; the cement mixture is then injected constantly and at low pressure during the ascent.

Diaphragms and plastic diaphragms

The diaphragms are used by Dolomiti Rocce for the construction of containment works of high capacity and waterproof barriers, in almost all types of terrain. The technology consists in the construction of walls (reinforced concrete walls) cast directly into the ground with the possibility of reaching depths greater than 30 meters. Dolomiti Rocce also uses plastic diaphragms, or physical barriers performed to contain or reduce any water flow that could appear in the ground. There are diversified techniques depending on the type of soil to be drilled.

Self drilling bars

In the soils that are characterized by lack of compactness and by failure of the foundations, Dolomiti Rocce proposes interventions through self-drilling bars. These are hollow rolled steel bars that make it possible to consolidate and reinforce the land; they are particularly versatile and quick to install. Dolomiti Rocce through self-drilling bars realizes rivetting and tie-rods, nailed walls as temporary or definitive stabilization of slopes or excavations.

Chemical and cementious injections

In the geotechnical civil engineering field, Dolomiti Rocce proposes chemical and cement injections in order to optimize the hydraulic and mechanical characteristics of the land, of masonry works and of rocks. Chemical and cement injections are ideal for slope stabilization, consolidation of foundation soils, creation of waterproof screens, restoration of structures, consolidation of excavation fronts.

The technology is based on two different types of injections, those with cement mixtures and silicates.

Possibility of setting up load tests

Load tests are carried out on pilot piles and static verification tests during the work to check the correct execution and behavior under the project actions, as indicated by N.T.C. 2008: Dolomiti Rocce is able to set up test through the installation of special contrast beams for static tests or through the preparation of the pile head in case of dynamic test (CASE), relying on certified laboratories for actual load testing.

Jet grouting with GPS

Jet grouting is a technique that allows the improvement of the mechanical characteristics and permeability of the soil through the treatment with a mixture of water and cement injected at a high pressure, greater than 400 bar.

Dolomiti Rocce uses jet grouting in difficult logistic conditions, in tight spaces and in case of intervention at high depth with empty crossing. The jet grouting with GPS allows Dolomiti Rocce to guarantee constant monitoring in the execution of the intervention in order to create an impermeable barrier in case of bottom buffer and thus avoid siphoning phenomena.

Micropiles (also with Wassara tachnology and e CFH)

Dolomiti Rocce uses micropiles in supporting structures and as foundation piles in environmental contexts characterized by limited space.

The micropiles are small-diameter drilled elements made with small-sized equipment, they are characterized by their extreme versatility. This technology is ideal for restoration or renovation work.

Tunnel insertion and consolidation

Dolomiti Rocce develops infiltrations (horizontal mircopals) reinforced with steel tubes and made in a horizontal or sub-horizontal direction, designed to obtain, during the underground excavation of tunnels, the support of land, rocks or artifacts.

Anchors (tie-rods)

The tie-rods are only structural elements capable of transmitting a traction force to deep layers of soil or rock. They can be reinforced with strands or with steel bars. Dolomiti Rocce realizes tie rods of any size, both permanent and temporary, functional for anchoring various structures to the ground: walls, diaphragms, Berliners. We ensure the stability of works placed on unstable slopes and of difficult access, to improve the stability of slopes and to stabilize rock masses.
